Like the firefighting profession, post-secondary fire science programs are often dominated by men. The average female enrollment in the fire science and forestry programs we reviewed was 10%, but the schools on our list all have significantly higher female-to-male ratios. Whether you’re a man or a woman, if you would feel better in a more balanced program any of the schools below would be great options for you. We used the most trusted data from the National Center for Education Statistics to identify the 26 Most Popular Fire Science Degree Programs for Women. In order to be included on the list, at least 20% of the students enrolled in fire science, forestry and similar programs had to be female.
